The American Eagle Outfitters location at Abbotsford’s Sevenoaks Shopping Centre officially closes on April 18, but a new location is set to open at Highstreet Shopping Centre in the summer.
The announcement was made on the @aeosevenoaks Instagram page back on March 31, and construction on the new store is underway.
American Eagle had occupied a central location at Sevenoaks for many years, adjacent to Pandora.
It’s unclear what will go in that space after American Eagle departs.
The new location at Highstreet appears to be bigger and, according to store signage, they are adding team members for the new store.
The Instagram page will be changing its handle to reflect the store’s new home starting on April 19.
American Eagle Outfitters was founded in 1977 and has 940 locations worldwide. The first Canadian store opened in 2001.
