Abbotsford's P3 water proposal took a prominent role in Thursday's third annual mayor's breakfast. While the address usually entails an annual review, coupled with a look to the future, Abbotsford mayor George Peary took time to address the growing debate surrounding the proposed public private partnership for a new water source and treatment centre involving Stave Lake.

A 17-year-old who was out on bail following a drug bust in January was charged this week in connection to Abbotsford's largest OxyContin bust.

A 16-page document answering public questions regarding a proposed P3 water partnership has been posted on the City of Abbotsford website. The report is in response to questions raised during the April 4 public input session at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium. During that meeting, residents became irate when council members did not answer their questions. Mayor George Peary explained they were present to hear input, not engage in debate.
