Three separate accidents occurred on Highway 1 in Abbotsford on Thursday morning, all around the same time.
Westbound traffic was backed up after three vehicles were involved in a collision just before the McCallum Road exit.
Two compact cars and one SUV were involved in the crash, which occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m and sent the SUV into the median.
Abbotsford Police, ambulance crews and members of Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service were on scene.
A second accident took place, also in the westbound lanes, just east of the Sumas Way/Highway 11 exit (photo below). Two vehicles were involved in the accident, and two ambulances and fire crews were on scene.
A third freeway incident, also westbound, involved a single vehicle, which drove off the road and into the ditch, close to the Clearbrook Road exit.
