The Abbotsford Police Department has confirmed that Ontario police have made contact with Nathan Point, a 23-year-old man who was reported missing in Abbotsford just after 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.

Abbotsford police issued a press release on Wednesday morning, stating that Point is staying with an acquaintance in Ontario.

Point was reported missing after he did not appear for work on Aug. 9, which police said is out of character for him.

Police had obtained an image of him using an ATM at Clearbrook Road and South Fraser Way at 6:10 that morning.

Police said he was wearing a plaid shirt, plaid shorts, a baseball cap and a backpack. Point does not have a vehicle, and police said at that time there was a possibility that he had gone to areas of the province east of Abbotsford.

Point is 5' 7", weighs 140 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
