A pedestrian was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Bourquin Crescent West and South Fraser Way in Abbotsford.
The incident took place at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses at the scene said the young man had the walk signal and was crossing Bourquin Crescent when he was hit at a slow speed by a northbound vehicle stopped for the light.
The female driver had apparently lifted her foot off the brake pedal just as the man was walking in front of her.
The pedestrian was conscious and was able to walk to the ambulance on scene.
