Abbotsford is receiving a new McDonald’s restaurant and the location will be running a special promotion later this month to benefit local charities.

McDonald’s officially opens its new location at the Mount Lehman Crossing shopping complex (30720 Fraser Highway) on Oct. 27 and will mark the occasion with special prices of $4 for both the Quarter Pounder (regular price – $7.49) and McChicken (regular price – $6.19) sandwiches.

Those prices will be in effect from Oct. 27 to 29.

A total of $1 from the purchase of either of those items from Oct. 27 to 29 will go towards Archway Community Services and Ronald McDonald House Charity.

The new location is the ninth stand-alone McDonald’s location in Abbotsford, with two more inside both Walmart stores.

McDonald’s joins other relatively recent additions to Mount Lehman Crossing such as Pizza Hut, Bar Burrito, Starbucks, Scotiabank and Popeyes Louisiana Chicken.
