Boxing Day 2021 in west Abbotsford will be remembered by some as Fried Chicken Day, as it marked the opening of the second Popeyes Louisiana Chicken location in Abbotsford.
The restaurant, which is located at 30734 Fraser Highway, officially opened at 11 a.m. on Dec. 26.
Popeyes opened its first location in Abbotsford on Marshall Road back on Nov. 1, 2019.

The new location, part of the Mount Lehman Crossing shopping centre off of Livingstone Avenue, made headlines earlier this year after it was revealed that it was constructed in less than two weeks thanks to a partnership with Vancouver-based company Nexii Building Solutions.
The company also helped construct the nearby Starbucks location.

Popular items on the Popeyes menu include: the famous chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and fried shrimp.
Dine-in and take out will be available and delivery portals will be open later on. Popeyes representatives stated that this location will be a drive-thru outpost and is the only location in Abbotsford with the drive-thru option.
