The Abbotsford Police Department has released photos of a suspect in a sexual assault that took place Monday night (Dec. 23) at a veterinary clinic.

The suspect entered the clinic in the 32100 block of South Fraser Way at about 8 p.m. and began speaking with the lone female employee.

Const. Ian MacDonald said the man moved closer to the service counter, and then suddenly moved behind the counter, where he grabbed and groped the 26-year-old woman.

She was able to break free, and she yelled at the suspect, who fled the store. The victim then called police.

The culprit is described as a South Asian man in his 20s, about six feet tall and with a slim build.

He had dark hair and sideburns and was wearing a red jacket with white stripes, black track pants, a light green shirt and white running shoes.
