The Abbotsford School District has announced that all district school sites will be closed to students and staff tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 16).
They made the announcement in a press release on Monday (Nov. 15) evening.
According to Superintendent Kevin Godden, the decision was made in consultation with the city’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), and closures are being implemented due to the city’s current state of local emergency.
No decision has been made yet for the rest of the week.
Classes resumed as normal today in most schools, despite local flooding and mudslides following recent heavy rainfall.
