More than 120 donors came out to a recent blood drive, when Yale Secondary teamed up with Canadian Blood Service.
The event was held Dec. 12 at the school, and was spearheaded by the school’s leadership class.
Organizers say the event was busy all day, and many young people signed up to donate.
During the winter months, there is often a decrease across the country in the number of blood donations, due to harsh weather conditions. Without enough blood, lifesaving medical treatments are postponed.
One blood donation can potentially save up to three lives.
