The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) holds the second annual Step Up 4 Cardiac Health on Saturday, Feb. 9.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at Abbotsford Centre and involves participates completing as many laps as they can. Each lap is 596 steps and takes about seven minutes to complete.
The record for the most laps completed last year is 12.
FVHCF executive director Liz Harris said this year people can do laps in the concourse as well so that all fitness levels can participate.
“This event is a perfect opportunity to bring your friends, family or co-workers together and kickstart your day while fundraising to support cardiac health,” she said.
Funds raised support the cardiac health unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
