Members of the Abbotsford Quilters Guild have been busy over the holiday season.

The guild partnered with the Abbotsford Police Victim Services unit on Dec. 16 to deliver 50 quilts to Archway Community Services.

The quilts will be distributed to refugee families from Afghanistan.

As well, 60 quilts were given to Tabor Home and Valhaven Home for seniors, and 10 quilts and 15 stockings – along with toiletries donated by guild members – were delivered to the women’s transition house.

The guild also donated the New Year’s baby quilt and 20 quilts and assorted knit toques for premature babies in the maternity ward and neonatal intensive care unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

For more information about the Abbotsford Quilters Guild, call Carole Lefler at 604-853-0867 or message Barb Fulton at b3fulton@gmail.com or Donna Zimmermann at djzimm54@gmail.com.
