Abbotsford’s Taves Family Farms is expanding into the world of cider.

The local farm, known for the popular Applebarn attraction, made the announcement on Twitter.

The tweet states that the new estate cidery at the farm is set to open on April 5, and hard cider will be available.

Looking at the photo attached to the tweet, it appears that flavours include: apple, gooseberry, red currant and black currant.

The Taves family has farmed in the community since the 1930s, and opened the Applebarn about 25 years ago.

The Applebarn, which celebrates fall, allows visitors to go on a hayride, ride a pony, pick your own apples, choose a perfectly-round pumpkin, navigate the Corn Quest Maze, ride the tire swings, bounce on jumping pillows, pet barn animals at Farmville, and much more.
