The UFV Cascades women’s basketball team stepped up on Saturday, and punched their ticket to the Canada West playoffs with a big win over the Manitoba Bisons.
Facing a must-win situation to qualify, the Cascades took down the Bisons 80-56 on Saturday. MEI grad Taylor Claggett had an incredible performance in the win, with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.
The women now advance to the CW play-in game against the Victoria Vikes on Friday in the provincial capital.
