Pilots split with Icebreakers, Wolf Pack

The Abbotsford Pilots split a pair of games last week.

The Abbotsford Pilots split a pair of games last week, edging their local rivals from Mission, before dropping a home game against the North Vancouver Wolf Pack.

On Thursday, the Pilots beat the Mission Icebreakers 4-1 at Mission Leisure Centre. Four different players bulged the twine – Riley Lamb, Dakota Schipper, Scott Rae-Douglas and Luke Venema – while Aaron Oakley picked up the win by stopped 25 of 26 Icebreakers shots.

On Friday at MSA Arena, the Wolf Pack potted three of the last four goals of the game en route to a 5-3 win. Adam Rossi's power-play goal at 15:12 of the third period had gotten the Pilots to within a goal at 4-3, but North Van's Quin Buckellew scored 48 seconds later to supply some crucial insurance.

The Pilots host the Icebreakers this Friday (7:30 p.m., MSA Arena).
