Six matches take over Abbotsford Arts Centre, ASW announces return to Agrifair this summer

All Star Wrestling returned to Abbotsford for the first time in 2024, as they invaded the Abbotsford Arts Centre for the Three Way Dance event on Saturday (April 13).

A packed crowd saw six matches and two titles were defended.

The opening bout saw Sebastian Wolfe pin Evan Rivers at 8:10.

The team of Nate Nixon and Colton Kelly defeated the duo of Abbotsford’s Danni Deeds and Josh Cadwell in 13:05.

The Abbotsford-based team of Double Overtime (Boogie Knight and Big Rig) scored a win over the pair known as Duv N’ Dangerous at 11:52. That win qualified Double Overtime for a tag team title match against the Illa Tribe later in the night.

Shawn Murphy retained his ASW cruiserweight in a four-way match at 9:40 by pinning BattleWasp. Murphy also outsmarted Inferno and Sad Boy Denzel to earn the win.

The Illa Tribe defeated Double Overtime at 9:15 to retain the ASW tag team titles.

The main event three-way bout to determine a new number one contender saw The Thunder from Jalandhar pin Christopher Ryseck at 8:15. Thunder will now receive a title shot at ASW Rage in the Cage in Vancouver on June 15. Abbotsford’s The Mighty Lokombo competed in the main event, but was not involved in the finish.

In other news, ASW announced that the promotion will be back for another year at the Abbotsford Agrifair. The 2024 event runs from Aug. 2 to 4. Wrestling is regularly run in the Air Cadets Building on the grounds, with several shows throughout the weekend. Those shows are included with a general admission pass for everyone to check out.

ASW also announced they will be returning to Abbotsford in October. For more information, visit allstarwrestling.ca.
