The Abbotsford Outlaws 99B girls softball team won the consolation final at a tournament in Mount Vernon, Wash. last weekend.

The Outlaws went 2-1 in the round robin to earn a spot in the gold bracket for Sunday's playoffs, but they dropped a 10-4 decision to the Sno Co Express and were relegated to the consolation side.

But the Abby squad bounced back, beating the Bellingham Bash 13-3 in four innings via the mercy rule, and they earned a measure of revenge vs. Sno Co in the consolation final with a 13-9 win. Lynsey Evans smacked two home runs in the victory, while pitcher Kyra Watson went the distance on the mound.
