More job openings for the new Abbotsford American Hockey League franchise have been posted online by the Vancouver Canucks.
The Chief Operating Officer position, which has yet to be filled, was posted on May 18 and last week saw five additional opportunities made public.
Canucks Sports and Entertainment posted openings for manager of retail operations (hockey and events), sales senior account executive, controller (finance) and partnership sales manager.
The positions will be based in Abbotsford, aside from the two retail jobs, which will see hires also work out of Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

In other Abbotsford AHL news, prospect Lukas Jasek will not be following the team from Utica to Abbotsford. It was announced on Saturday that the forward has signed with the Lahti Pelicans of the Finnish League.
23-vuotias tšekkiläishyökkääjä Lukáš Jašek siirtyy Lahden Pelicansiin ensi kauden kattavalla sopimuksella. Vancouver Canucksin varaamalla hyökkääjällä on reilun sadan ottelun kokemus AHL:stä.— Liiga (@smliiga) June 12, 2021

Jasek was a sixth round pick by the Canucks in 2015 and has spent parts of the last four seasons with the Comets. His most productive season was 2019-20 when he collected 27 points in 56 games. This past season the Czech native scored 23 points in 28 games.
He signed a one-year deal with the Pelicans and the Canucks can maintain his rights with a qualifying offer if they choose to do so.
Final details on the deal between the city of Abbotsford and the Aquilini Investment Group are still being worked out, as the notice of intent to award the Abbotsford Centre facility operations and management contract remains pending.
