Ledgeview Golf and Country Club was well-represented at the Zone 3 Champion of Champions Tournament, held last week at Royalwood Golf Club in Chilliwack.
The tournament is an invitational for all club champions in the Fraser Valley zone, and a pair of Ledgeview golfers took home top honours in their respective categories.
Val Haslam’s round of 78 was good for first place in the women’s division, while Grace Rustulka shot 84 to win the senior women’s title.
Nathan Bahnman turned in a terrific effort in the junior men’s category, finishing second (round of 79), while Brian Bates (75) was third in the men’s division and Paul Kerbrat (77) was third in the senior men’s event.
The Ledgeview crew also combined to tie for first place in the team event with Mission Golf and Country Club. That competition is decided by combining the three lowest individual scores for each club, including one women’s score, and the local trio of Bates, Kerbrat and Haslam shot a combined score of 230.
