Jobb leads podium charge for Abbotsford Judo Club

At the prestigious Quebec Open, held two weeks ago in Montreal, national team athlete Brandon Jobb emerged victorious in the senior 90 kilogram men's class. Other medalists from the local club included Mitchell Wolfe (silver, U16 -60 kg), Jeff Swadden (bronze, U21 +100 kg) and Simren Brar (bronze, U18 -50 kg), while Cole Yodogawa (U21 -66 kg) notched a fifth-place finish.

At the Youth Ontario Open last week, Swadden upgraded to a silver medal in his division, while Brar picked up another bronze medal and Yodogawa finished fifth.

Closer to home, Brandon and Connor Slooyer both climbed the podium at the Continental Crown event in Washington state. Brandon won a gold medal, while Connor took silver.
