The Abbotsford Horseshoe Club (AHC) drew pitchers from across B.C. and Washington for its Highwayman/B.C. International Tournament earlier this month, and locals performed well.

Garry Racette (men’s D) and John Collin (elders C), both of Abbotsford, won their respective divisions, and Racette also won a trophy as the player who scored the highest over his entering average.

The AHC practices on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at its facility, located at 2308 Adanac St., and beginners are welcome. For more information, call Archie at 604-854-2019 or Darryl Olson at 604-864-0622.

The club’s next big event is the Lower Mainland Championships on Sept. 22.
