Adam Hadwin continued his season-opening roll on the Web.com Tour, finishing tied for third at the El Bosque Mexico Championship.

Hadwin wrapped up the event with a terrific four-under 68 during Sunday's final round, which got him to -7 for the tournament and into a six-way tie for third, six strokes back of winner Carlos Ortiz.

The 26-year-old Abbotsford golfer earned $29,925, which boosted him from fourth to third on the tour's money list with total earnings of $173,289.

The top 25 at season's end earn PGA Tour cards for 2015, and Hadwin's hot start has put him in terrific position – in 2013, the 25th-place finisher on the money list had $168,710.

Hadwin has made the cut at all six Web.com Tour events to date in 2014, highlighted by a trio of top-10 finishes, including a victory at the Chile Open and an eighth-place result at the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship.

Fellow Abbotsford golfer Nick Taylor missed the cut in Mexico – he opened with a one-under 71, but struggled to a seven-bogey, zero-birdie 79 in the second round. He's 45th on the money list with earnings of $28,258.
