Canada comes calling for Cascades coach Craddock

University of the Fraser Valley men’s basketball coach Barnaby Craddock has been named to the staff for the Canadian cadet (under-17) boys national team this summer.

Craddock, who guided the Cascades to a fourth-place finish at nationals last season, will serve as an assistant coach for the Canadian team which will travel to Lithuania for the FIBA U17 World Championship (June 29 to July 8). The head coach is David DeAveiro of McGill University.

Craddock also worked for Canada Basketball last summer, when he was an assistant coach on the university men’s team that won a surprising silver medal at the Summer Universiade in China.
