The Oklahoma City Barons seem to have the Abbotsford Heat's number this season, and they ran their record to 3-0 against the Heat with a 4-1 victory on Friday.

The host Barons built a 3-0 lead on goals by Tyler Pitlick, Philippe Cornet and Tanner House, before Jon Rheault got the Heat on the board at 17:20 of the second period.

But that was as close as the Heat would get, as Ryan Keller scored at 5:57 of the third to put the game out of reach.

Barons goalie David LeNeveu made 24 saves in the win, while his Heat counterpart Leland Irving stopped 20 of 24 shots.

The win allowed the Barons (12-4-0-1, 25 points) to move ahead of the Heat (11-5-1-0, 23 points) for first place in the AHL's West Division. The Heat also saw their seven-game road winning streak snapped.

The Heat will seek a measure of revenge on Saturday, when they get a rematch with the Barons at OKC's Cox Convention Centre.

The Heat then wrap up their seven-game road trip on Sunday, when they face the Houston Aeros.
