It's playoff time for the Abbotsford Rugby Football Club, and the team heads into the playoffs with all squads on a high.
Both the ARFC Division one and two clubs finished the regular season undefeated, and the third division club lost only once.
Division one wrapped up their season on April 9, with a 63-7 win over Bayside. The club got tries from Bryce Hewko, Graeme MacRury (two), Lucas de Beer, Trent Bourke (two), Michael Wilson, Nate Sandhu and Jason Copp (two).
They finished the season with a perfect record of 12 wins and no losses, and open the postseason on Saturday at Exhibition Park against Meralomas at 2:30 p.m.
Division two compiled a record of 11 wins and one draw, and they open up the postseason on Sunday at Exhibition Park against the Surrey Beavers at 2 p.m.
The Division three team finished the season with a record of six wins and one loss, and kicked off the playoffs on April 16 by defeating Chilliwack. They continue their playoff journey on Saturday at Exhibition Park against Comox at 11:30 a.m.
ARFC spokesperson Byron Toutant pointed out that all clubs are extra motivated to succeed to honour Abbotsford rugby legend and former ARFC coach John Cannon, who died earlier this year.
Toutant said the official motto for all ARFC clubs this season is 'Three championships for JC."
