The MEI Eagles and Yale Lions are seeded fifth and eighth for their respective senior boys basketball provincial championships, which run from Wednesday (March 6) to Saturday (March 9) at the Langley Events Centre.
The Eagles square off against the 11th-ranked Windsor Wolves on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
MEI captured the 3A Eastern Valley Athletic Association crown with a 69-66 win over the Brooskwood Bobcats on Feb. 25. Eagles player Isaiah Lee was named the EVAA 3A most valuable player, while Nathan Laspa was named a tournament all-star.
The 3A title game is set for Saturday at 5:15 p.m.

Yale takes on the ninth-ranked St. George’s Saints on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m.
Yale defeated the R.E. Mountain Eagles 118-67 to capture the EVAA 4A crown on Feb. 25. The Lions were led by Taige Roberts, who drained seven three-point shots and scored 44 points in the win. Nylan Roberts added 35 and was named the EVAA 4A most valuable player. Darius Best added 11 points for the Lions.
The 4A title game is set for Saturday at 7:45 p.m.
