Basketball BC recently announced its under-17 and under-16 teams, and a trio of Abbotsford players made the cut.
Corey Hauck, a 5’9” point guard with the W.J. Mouat Hawks, and Patrick Vandervelden, the Yale Lions’ 6’8” centre, will be teammates on the U17 boys team. Taylor Claggett, a 5’11” centre for the MEI Eagles, will suit up for the provincial U16 girls squad.
All three players helped their respective high school teams qualify for the AAA provincial championships last season.
