The Abbotsford Falcons pee wee black squad earned first place at the Chillibowl over the weekend.

The Abbotsford Falcons football program had a strong showing at the 10th annual Chillibowl tournament, which ran from Friday to Sunday in Chilliwack.

The preseason event saw local teams dominate in both the peewee and atom divisions.

The Falcons peewee black squad earned first place at the tournament, with the Falcons peewee white team placing fifth place amongst the ten teams competing. The black team was awarded first place based on total points scored in the club’s four games.

Abbotsford teams also finished first and second place respectively in the atom division, with both teams only allowing six points in a combined eight games.

On the first day of the tournament the Falcons sent their flag teams for a fun start to the season. The junior bantams fared the best amongst all the flag teams, finishing third overall.

Falcons games kick off starting Labour Day weekend, and run until November.
