I was very frustrated to learn that Dr. Darryl Plecas was appointed as the BC Liberal candidate for Abbotsford South in the coming May 2013 provincial election.
As a member of the BC Liberal party and a resident of the Abbotsford South riding, there was no consultation with the riding association. This concerns me deeply.
The premier of British Columbia, Christy Clark, has preached democracy and open government since she took office.
My question to the premier is: Where, in the “appointment” of Dr. Plecas, is the democracy and openness that you have continually spoken about?
