I am very upset by the article “Seniors don’t want to be moved and micro-sized” on Oct. 7.
Our seniors fought for this country, paid taxes and ensured a relatively decent life for the rest of us.
Now they are being dishonoured by being told they have to move into 300 square foot micro apartments, even though they don’t want to move.
New roofs are definitely cheaper than building new apartment buildings, especially when they don’t want to move from their friends and a location where it’s safe for them to walk.
Would Leona Watts or David Algra live in a micro apartment?
I would venture to say they definitely would not! Who are these people who have no respect for their elders’ living conditions?
A two-burner stove? No room for favourite furniture? Give me a break.
