As a South African visitor to Vancouver, I am appalled at the behaviour of so-called fans of the local hockey side.
To riot and cause such mayhem and destruction to property after their side lost to Boston is totally unacceptable in my book, but of more concern is that the police and fire department just stood by and did nothing.
I question why no action was taken to curb this kind of behaviour. Where else in the world would this sort of thing be tolerated?
