Our government is spending millions of dollars to relieve the traffic congestion which regularly occurs on Sumas Way caused by long lineups of vehicles waiting to cross the border into the United States. Are we going to allow the erection of a 3 story storage facility which will only add to that congestion? There should be nothing on those lands below 4th Ave. except for a way to get traffic to and from the border more efficiently.
I think this council should have a very close look at this plan. It makes no sense to us at all. Not only do we not need the extra traffic this would bring, but do we really want this building to be the first thing visitors see when entering our city from the south.
