LETTER: Shame on Canada Post

I find it totally unbelievable that a corporation such as Canada Post can be so completely incompetent when it comes to following a simple work order.

A member of our complex strata council contacted Canada Post regarding having the crown locks removed while a locksmith replaced the individual locks for each mail compartment. The crown locks would then be replaced later in the day.

First the crown locks were removed a day early, so no mail delivered. The locksmith changed all the locks on the Friday. As requested, Canada Post was notified to return and replace the locks. The locks were not replaced until Tuesday.

The letter carrier was not notified for Wednesday’s delivery, even though Canada Post said they would let her know to deliver on Wednesday.

It is now Thursday, and once again no mail delivery. When I contacted their 800 number, all I got was an “I’m  very sorry” from the woman at the end of the phone, and a promise to send the message to the Abbotsford office immediately.

This is a blatant example of “Delay of mail delivery.”  Shame on Canada Post.
