LETTER: A fox in the henhouse situation

Who would you like looking after the business interests of all British Columbians – BCTF or the government?

In the News' Sept.10 letters, Gary Huntbatch made some statements which puzzle me. He seems to indicate that the current government, regarding class size and mix, agreed to this contract.

Was this contract not negotiated with the NDP government a short time before the election? Could this contract not be considered a "poison pill" agreement?

He also seems to indicate that he would  feel better if the BCTF "had much more input into deciding on  how tax dollars are spent on education" Could we look at this as a "fox in the hen house" situation?

He also makes statements, "In other words they lied","merry-go-round of deceitful politicians."

The feeling I get is that Huntbatch does not like politicians. I would suggest that our politicians be given a vote of thanks. The time they spend on our behalf should be appreciated. Yes, they make some mistakes, but don't we all?

Who would you like looking after the business interests of all British Columbians – BCTF or the government? I would prefer the government.
