Prostitution is a “service” that thousands, maybe millions, of Canadians want. If it wasn’t, prostitutes would be out of business.
We already have brothels. We call them massage parlors. And we have out-call services. Look in any newspaper classifieds.
No amount of legislation will stop these practices. Keeping them illegal simply makes criminals out of millions of otherwise law-abiding citizens and puts the profits in the hands of gangs and criminals. It’s time for the government to accept, legalize, and tax these professions
