I am writing this letter about an ever-increasing disrespect to pedestrians in electronically controlled crosswalks.

These are not a new invention. They have pedestrian safety in mind. But while using them I have been cursed at, swerved around and not seen at all.

Mission seems to have the greatest offenders.

Do we need crosswalk cameras as well?

The appropriate action for motorists is to depress the black brake pedal, which is located next to their gas pedal. It’s in the same position in all cars.

I will hurry and get out of your path, after all, it is a rush-rush world.
