William Soroka passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2003 at Mission Memorial Hospital at the age of 78 years. Bill was predeceased by his son Victor in 1958, brother Steve in 1999 and many close friends in the Armed Forces.
He is survived by his daughter Eileen; sons Tom, Dave and Ken; sister Mary; brothers Pete and Jim; sister Mary F. and Nellie M.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and his former wife Mary.
Bill joined the Army in 1944, and after retirement in 1971, moved to the Mission area.
A service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #57, 32608 Fraser Crescent, Mission, B.C. with John Keresman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion.
