William Earl Davies, affectionately known as Bill or Big Bill to his friends, passed away on August 7 at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton.
Bill was born in Clayburn, B.C. in 1925, and spent most of his life in the Abbotsford area. He worked with heavy machinery, mostly draglines all across Western Canada. He was predeceased by his loving wife Alice, and will be sadly missed by his 6 sons; Clifton, Lyle, Daniel, Wayne (Judy), Brian (Sue), James, and 7 grandchildren; Kerry, Amanda (Tim), Glenda, Ashley, Christopher, Nicole and Matthew, and 2 great-grandsons Levi and Ashton, as well as his one surviving sister, Millie (Cecil) Ayling. Memorial service to be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 2310 Clearbrook Rd. on Saturday, August 21, at 1:00 p.m.
