He entered peacefully into the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ on February 26, 2007.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother in law John Friesen.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1946 and was baptized on his birthday joining the Vauxhall M.B. Church. Several years later he moved to Vancouver beginning work with BC Electric. He was faithful in his work and received several promotions during the next six years. During that time he met Mary Gossen who became his beloved and faithful wife for 54 years. ically and mentally challenged adults in Bethesda home for twelve years training them how to do simple assembly line jobs. In Calgary they ministered to men who struggled with substance abuse seeking to provide wholistic ministries including spiritual needs. From there they pastored in Snow Lake, Manitoba and then in Nipawin, Saskatchewan in church planting and training students at the Nipawin Bible Institutes in Evangelism which was his heart's compassion.

Upon retirement they moved to Clearbrook, B.C. becoming involved in the Clearbrook M.B. Church and ministering in several care homes for the next twelve years.

After five weeks of illness in the local hospital which included hip surgery he entered into the presence of his Lord Jesus Christ.
