May 24, 1927 - June 14, 2020
Victor passed away peacefully at Abbotsford Hospital on June 14, 2020 at the age of 93. He was one of nine children born to the late Charles Henry Gadd and Annie Helena Gadd (Crowe), in Fort Frances, Ontario. He married the love of his life, Lorraine Hodgkins, June 09, 1950. They had two wonderful children, Kevin Gadd and Karen Gadd, both now deceased. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Alice (Mrs. Dennis Hurley), Mary (Mrs. Russell Fisher), Dorothy (Mrs. Harry Caul), and Lillian (Mrs. Harry Rushton) as well as brothers, Clarence Gadd (Jean), and Francis Gadd (Olive). Victor will be greatly missed by his two surviving siblings, Robert Gadd of Fort Frances, Ontario and Dixie Crossman of White Rock, B.C., numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and faithful friends who were there for him when he needed them.
Victor was a very wise, self-made man with an extensive career in the building trades. Victor and family lived in various places throughout Ontario, Alberta and B.C. as well as New Zealand, and made friends everywhere. Anyone who knew him will remember his amazing spirit and zest for life, his quick wit and sense of humour, his love of nature and kindness to everyone he met.
