Tina Plenert (Neufeld)

August 3, 1924 - October 25, 2021
Tina Plenert (Neufeld) passed into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ on October 25th, 2021 at the well-lived age of 97. She was born August 3, 1924, in Greigorivka, in what is now Ukraine, the second child to Johann and Maria (Letkeman) Neufeld. The young family emigrated to Canada in 1925, first settling in Grunthal, Manitoba, and later moving to Ontario in 1935. Tina moved to Vancouver, BC, in 1956, and married George Plenert. They remained in Vancouver until 1989, when they retired and moved to Abbotsford. They were married for 54 years.
Predeceased by her parents, her husband George, her siblings and their spouses, Tina was the last of her generation. She is survived by her children; son Dave (Ruth) Plenert, daughter Grace (Dan) Rempel, 8 grandchildren: Will (Jenna) Plenert, Sandi (Dominick) Gagne, Colleen Plenert, Eddie (Jordan) Plenert, Christina (Jason) Kliewer, Katie Rempel, Graeme(Sara) Rempel and Mark(Rachel) Rempel and 16 grandchildren.
The memorial celebration will be held on October 30, 2021 at Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 3471 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford BC at 10:30 am. For a link to see the video of the memorial contact: office@emmanuelmennonite.com
The family would like to acknowledge the compassionate care given to mom in her later years by Dr. Milena Campbell and the staff at Menno Place.
