Thelma Smith peacefully passed into the presence of her Lord on January 4, 2004 at the age of 79 surrounded by her family at MSA Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C.
She is lovingly remembered by Tom, her dear husband of 59 years, her children, son Ted (Lynn), daughter Pam (Doug) McIntosh, son Jeff (Louise) and daughter Rebecca (Frank) LeComte. She will also be missed by 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers, Jack and Tom Sheppard.
Thelma will be well remembered by the people at Zion Tabernacle, Sapperton Baptist Church, Gabriola Fellowship, and grateful for the support of Cascade Community Church.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 9, 2004 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford with Pastor David Woodland officiating. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army in memory of Thelma. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Menno Hospital for their love and excellent care.
