Susan Hirschman, late of Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on November 13, 2003 at the age of 71 years. She was predeceased by her brother Henry Doerksen, husband Charles in 1997, son Tony in 1962, son Donald in 1976 and granddaughter Shilah in 1992.
She will be missed by her son Larry, son Jeff (Sherry), daughter Diana (Ross) Leadbetter, and son Jim; grandchildren Khaene, Wyatt, Anthony, Derek, Kynesha and Taisha; brothers: Jake Doerksen and Bert (Diane) Doerkson; sisters: Eva (Les) Staples, Judy (Al) Haglund, Erna (Wally) Banks and Hilda (Barry) Fatkin.
Susan was born in Mexico on Mrch 1, 1932 and came to Canada in 1953. She found fulfillment in raising her children and helping with her grandchildren. Susan had many interests including knitting, crossstitching and most recently, painting. She also had a love of plants, including such exotics as orchids and bonsai.
Funeral Services for Susan will be held at her church at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3845 Gladwin Road, on tuesda, November 18, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. followed by an interment at Hazelwood Cemetery.
