Sharon Jean Loewen

Sharon Jean Loewen passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 27, 2022, surrounded by family. Sharon, born in Abbotsford on February 19, 1949, was the first child of Peter and Stella Reimer. In 1967, she married Ben Loewen and they settled in Matsqui where four children were born to them.
The family moved to a poultry farm in the Bradner area in 1978, and joined the Ross Road MB Church, which they attended for the next 40 years. Ben and Sharon began attending Clearbrook MB Church in 2017, enjoying the fellowship, singing in choir and worship teams until Ben became ill in October 2021.
Sharon enjoyed singing and through the years was a member of several community and church choirs. In 1984, Sharon joined Bible Study Fellowship and dedicated herself to studying God's word, which eventually enabled her to lead a study group for four years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend - she loved and served Jesus.
Predeceased by Ben, her husband of 54 years, and her parents, she is lovingly remembered by her children Bernie, Rachelle (Karl) Dyck; Darren (Elissa); and Trevor (Lisa); 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 7, 2022, 11:30am at Clearbrook MB Church.
