Primrose, Robert (Bob) M.A. (April 19, 1931 - February 8, 2013) passed away peacefully at Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission, BC. Bob was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Margaret, in September, 1994 and by 2 brothers and 1 sister in Scotland, and a brother-in-law in New Zealand. Bob is survived by his children Alice (Wendy), Ken (Marlene) and Sandy (Rod), brother David (Marjory) and sister-in-law Rosemary and many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Britain, New Zealand and Canada. Also missing him terribly are his grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Kristopher (Angela), Kayla (Devon), Trevor (Kristalynn) and Jeremy (Matina) and his step-grand children Michael and Christopher. Dad was born in Glasgow, Scotland and during the war was sent to live with his relatives in Vancouver. His cousins were like big sisters to him and he adored them to the end. After the war he returned to Scotland where he met Margaret. He attended Glasgow University and graduated in 1951. He and Mom married July 27, 1954 and then immigrated to Canada in 1955. Dad started work with BC Electric and stayed with them through their growth and name changes until retiring from BC Hydro in 1988. Over the years Dad was involved in the Abbotsford Scottish Club, minor softball where he coached Alice’s and Sandy`s teams, the Gourmet Club he formed with neighbours and friends, and the BC Hydro Power Pioneers. He built the family home and he and Mom took great pride in the yard with the flower beds, vegetable garden and hanging baskets. They also enjoyed travelling. Dad never had a harsh or bad word to say about anyone. As Jennifer said, `he was the best Grandpa a grand daughter could have`. No service at this time. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
