Rhonda Gail Jorger passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Mission Memorial Hospital on the morning of January 28, 2005.
Rhonda lives on in the lives of her husband Nolan, the love of her life for nearly 24 years, her beloved children Erik, Erryn, and Andrew, devoted sister Diane, dearest father Murray Buchanan and step mother Lynne Buchanan and cherished nephews Riley and Tanner.
Rhonda was also blessed with many dear relatives and friendships throughout her life.
Rhonda delighted in many simple things; reading, travel, entertaining friends and family, movies, and stimulating conversation. Her friends and family remember her unique and quick wit, her big laugh, and her cheerful disposition that would not be suppressed even by her illness.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the dear friends, neighbours, and relatives who gave so generously of their time and love to take care of Rhonda. Sincere thanks also to the entire staff at Mission Memorial Hospital, especially Dr. Potter, the palliative care nurses, Jane and Jayne, the Mary’s, Gloria and all the other nurses and staff, Terry-Lou and Raydene and the Hospice Society who made Rhonda’s last days comfortable.
A prayer service was held February 1 at 7:00 PM and funeral service February 2 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Gordon officiating.
