It is with grateful hearts for a long and wonderful life, that the family of Rev. Henry Lindberg announce his passing on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at ARHCC. He was a man of God, a wonderful husband to Doreen who preceded him home in 2005, and father to his children Gary (JoLynn), Calvin, Brian, Trevor (Melody) and Darlene (Allan). He was an amazing grandfather and great grandfather to their families, as well as pastor, teacher, and counsellor, leaving such a rich heritage to us all. He was born in 1921 in Jarrow Alberta to Carl and Petrea Lindberg, served in the RCAF in WWII and went to England at the end of the war, where he met our mum Doreen, the love of his life. On their return to Canada he graduated from Northwest Bible College in Edmonton and served as pastor to congregations in Lethbridge, Bentley, Creston, Terrace, Burnaby and Abbotsford with the P.A.O.C. as well as with Abbotsford Christian Assembly now called Hillcity Church. There will be a private family graveside service, and a celebration of his life and home going will be held at Hillcity Church, 3970 Gladwin Rd., Abbotsford on Friday April 8 at 7:00 P.M, and all are welcome.
