Reinhold Theodor, born in Gerlanden, Germany on January 30, 1923, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 9, 2007 at Heritage Village, Chilliwack, BC. He was predeceased by his wife Hildegard in 2000. Reinhold is survived by his children: Heidi (Larry Taves) Sullivan, Udo (Judy), and Bernie (Lola); grandchildren Danny, Graham, Katie and Lauren; his brother Alfred (Anna); niece Rita (Don) in Alberta, and his brother Guenter (Hanne) and Âsister Chilchen in Germany. He managed to live with his Parkinson's, survived his bouts with cancer and two Russian POW camps. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 and worked as a very skilled carpenter for Alcan in Kitimat and for the Mission School Board. He grew magnificent Âdahlias and always had a bumper vegetable crop but enjoyed fishing the Kitimat River best.
Interment will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery in Abbotsford at a later date when he will be resting next to his loving wife. A memorial will be held at a later date.
