Mr. Gerry Ray Jones of Abbotsford, B.C. passed away suddenly into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with family at his side on March 9, 2007 at the age of 69.
He is painfully missed by his loving wife Ursula; son Dan (wife Alisa, Nicole and Bradley) of Airdrie, AB; daughter Shauna (husband Randy, Chuck, Cassie, Cori, Caity and Carlie) of Woodbridge, CA; son Steve (wife Nina) of Vancouver; sister Eleanor (husband Wilfred, Lori, Brad) of Calgary, AB; sister Lois (husband Kurt, Martin, Scott) of Widbey Island, WA, as well as his many extended family members.
Gerry was a career businessman and was actively involved in many ventures over the years. First and foremost, he loved his family and extended family. He was very proud of his 7 grandchildren and their many talented accomplishments. Gerry was looking forward to the arrival of his new grandchild in June. Apart from spending time with his family, he loved golf, fishing, hockey games and a good meal and fellowship with his many friends. Gerry especially enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music.
Gerry spent his life as an active member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance for over 50 years, dedicating his life towards the furtherance of Jesus Christ's kingdom.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Sevenoaks Alliance Church.
In lieu of flowers it would be Gerry's wish that donations be made to Cambodian Soup Kitchen run by David and Patti Enns, c/o The Ratanak Foundation, Box 521 - 3495 Cambie Street, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 4R3.
