ROBINSON Matilda (Tillie). April 10, 1921 ~ Oct. 20, 2013. Tillie Robinson, formerly of Abbotsford, BC, passed into the presence of her Lord on October 20, 2013 in Tolfield, AB. She was born in St. Boswell, SK to Sarah and Daniel Goertzen, and grew up in Herbert, SK. Tillie was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, Edward, Arthur and Elmer, also her sister Hilda. She is survived, and sadly missed by her loving husband Grant, son Daniel (Marie) and granddaughter Stevi Robinson. She is also survived by her sister Alvina (Tom) of Arizona, and youngest brother George (Ann) of Revelstoke, BC, also nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce and Alice (Robinson) McMillan. Following graduation from Prairie Bible Institute, Three Hills, AB and teacher's training, she felt called to serve her Lord in Nigeria, W. Africa, which she did for many years, serving under the S.I.M. Mission, until she retired. She was a very gifted and dedicated person with a wonderful sense of humor and a love of fun, also a love for children. She worked with the visually impaired club in Abbotsford as well as many other service groups including being involved with Word ESL, helping immigrants to learn English. Tillie had a great faith in God. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her memorial service will be held on Sat., November 2 at 1:30 pm at the Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Rd., Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SIM Missions Society.
